THE BMLDA

Manual Lymph Drainage has been practiced in Great Britain for over 35 years and the British MLD Association is a leader in the field of Lymph Drainage in the UK and is affiliated to the Institute of Complementary Medicine.

It exists to support professional therapists during their MLD training and afterwards as qualified practitioners providing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Lower back massageThe BMLDA also exists to promote awareness of the value of MLD for a huge variety of conditions and educate both practitioners of complementary medicine and orthodox practitioners providing knowledge and support.

The BMLDA is here to inform the general public, and you will find much information about MLD on this website. A guide to the therapy, what to expect, and levels of training are explained. There is an area list of some of our members. Not all members wish to have their details put on the internet so please call us for additional practitioners or for more general information.

BMLDA practitioners have trained in many different colleges and establishments around the world and have a wealth of knowledge on all diseases and conditions involving the Lymphatic System.

At the present time the BMLDA is involved with the consultation document on a proposed Federal approach to Complementary & Alternative (CAM) Medicine and the approach to Voluntary Self Regulation. The final outcome of this consultation will have a lasting effect on the future of therapist and public alike.

All efforts are undertaken to ensure the information given is correct. The practitioners and therapists listed have trained to at least the minimum standards of each of the Membership Levels, but it must be appreciated that the BMLDA cannot vouch for the individual merits of each treatment. The BMLDA carries it`s own Code of Ethics and Practice, Membership Statement and Training Statement. It is affiliated to the Institute of Complementary Medicine.
